Dr. Cedric Blackeagle Becomes an Ambassador for World Peace

On August 30, 2013 at the Gerald R. Ford Library and Museum Dr. Cedric Blackeagle, former President and Chairman of the Crow Nation, became a Good Will Ambassador of Peace for Golden Rule International. Ambassador Clyde Rivers the head of the North American Division of the Golden Rule International presented Dr. Cedric Blackeagle this prestigious international award.

The Golden Rule International Award is now established in 120 nations of the world. This organization seeks out top achievers that live the Golden Rule in their everyday life. This is a new global ethic that the leadership of the Golden Rule International Award, Patron, current President of Ethiopia, Girma Wolde and Ambassador Mussie Hailu has embraced and is promoting globally. Golden Rule International is also affiliated with the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative (IPI), African Union, the United Nations as well as the United Religions Initiative (URI).

Ambassador Clyde Rivers said, “Dr. Cedric Blackeagle is a true humanitarian and a statesman for the cause of the Native American people in the United States of America. He is responsible for keeping the water rights of the Crow Nation for the Crow people. This is a heroic act because water is life and keeping the water rights for his people will help his nation live on. I am very honored that Dr. Blackeagle has agreed to help us bring a culture of peace to the Native American Nations through the Golden Rule International Award by becoming a Good Will Ambassador of Peace.”
