Ambassador Clyde Rivers
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day,
January 19, 2015, thousands of people from different ethnic groups and cultures
assembled in San Francisco, CA. to keep the dream alive.
Ambassador Rivers was at this
event and was quoted saying, “Watching the young, old, and every nationality
and race all marching together for peace and civil rights was a great day in
the United States. We have more things that unite us than divide us. This march
exemplifies this point. To see the kindness and generosity of all the different
people marching showed me that the Golden Rule, ‘Treat other the way you want
to be treated,’ is alive and well in the United States. Dr. Martin Luther King
Jr., we will keep your dream alive.”
