FIRST LADY OF REPUBLIC OF BURUNDI AFRICA RECEIVES AWARD FROM LATIN AMERICA

     On August 5, 2014 in Washington DC, the Christian Latin Business Association Humanitarian Award was presented to the First Lady of Burundi Africa, Denise Nkurunziza. The award was presented to the First Lady by Alama Vision Television personality, Celina Gonzalez. Celina Gonzalez commented, “We are honored and privileged to present the First Lady of Burundi with this prestigious award for her outstanding work to help the underprivileged of the world, as well as, the work she is doing through the Buntu Foundation in Burundi to empower women.” The Christian Latin Business Association Humanitarian Award is presented to leading humanitarians globally.
     Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “The First Lady of Burundi has helped and encouraged widows in her country for years. She is a leader that is doing the job of empowering women. The Buntu Foundation, lead by First Lady Denise Nkurunziza, is in the process of building a city to help the underprivileged in her country.”

In San Jose, California on October 18, 2014, Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers was surprised and honored by the presentation of the Martin Luther King Legacy of Peace Award.  The President of the Martin Luther King Foundation, of the Santa Clarita Valley, Kathleen Flynn and the Mayor of San Jose, Chuck Reed and other respected officials, presented the award to Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers.

The Martin Luther King Foundation has been active in the Santa Clarita Valley for well over 30 years. Every year this organization chooses to honor the top mountain movers whose lives are representative of the great work Dr. Martin Luther King accomplished in his life, Civil Rights Laws in the United States of America. Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “I’m very humbled by the Legacy of Peace Award from the pioneer of peace, Dr. Martin Luther King through this prestigious foundation.”


There is great work being accomplished by Ambassador Rivers and the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative, Golden Rule International Award, as well as Dr. Clyde Rivers’ organization, iChange Nations. CHEROKEE NATION EMBRACES GOLDEN RULE INTERNATIONAL AWARD

In Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the Cherokee Nation Head Quarters, Chief Principle Bill Baker, leader of the Cherokee Nation, was involved in presentations at a Golden Rule International Award Ceremony. He and Monika Ponton Arrington, Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative Representative, beautifully represented the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative and the Golden Rule International Award with members of the Cherokee Nation.

TEXAS JUDGE WINS GOLDEN RULE INTERNATIONAL AWARD

In August 2014 at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library, Grand Rapids, Michigan Dr. Clyde Rivers, the Director of the North American Division of the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative and the Golden Rule International Award presented Judge Sam Griffin with the highly esteemed Golden Rule International Award.

Judge Griffin is a 12th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge in Texas and serves his people in this capacity. He also has traveled to the Middle East and other parts of the world to help aid people in improving their quality of life.

Dr. Clyde Rivers is quoted saying “To have a judge leave the bench to help humanity is a quality that makes this man so great. His life exemplifies the Golden Rule, ‘Treat others the way you want to be treated.’ We need more champions like him in the world. In Washington DC, September 5, 2014 at the United States Capitol Building, Dr. Paul Dhinakaran of India was presented with the prestigious Dr. Ruth Mizell Christian Statesmanship Award. Dr. Dhinakaran has a Global Television Ministry called Jesus Calls that produces at least 1,800 programs a month. He was appointed by the Education Department of the India National Monitoring Committee for Minority Education and is a member of the Governing Council of the “Education for All” Committee. He works with the Karunya University - India with over 5,400 students engaged from all parts of India. He rightly represents both God and the country of India.

The Dr. Ruth Mizell Global Award for Christian Statesmanship was created in Dr. Ruth Mizell’s name because of her stand for religious freedom on Capital Hill for over 30 years while helping mankind to love one another. Dr. Mizell was the former campaign manager for President George H. Bush.

We at the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiatives (IPI) Golden Rule International Awards Presentation, at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum, are extremely honored to gather top humanitarians from all over the world. In 120 nations we are in the process of establishing April 5th as the Golden Rule Day International. This is a day in which there is no violence in the name of religion or culture in the world. We are pursuing this as a Resolution at the United Nations.

It gives me great honor to present Harrypersad Maharaj, the President of the Inter-Religious Organization of Trinidad and Tobago. This is the only country I have ever been to that has harmony among their religions and cultures. Harrypersad Maharaj has been a champion voice for peace within Trinidad and Tobago. His great leadership is now being recognized globally.

As well as the presentation of the Golden Rule International Award, the President and Founder of iChange Nations, Ambassador Clyde Rivers surprised Harrypersad Maharaj with the iChange Nations Global Leadership Award, for his work to unify the different cultures in Trinidad and Tobago and around the world. Ambassador Clyde Rivers said of Harrypersad Maharaj, “He will be known in the nations of the world as a man of peace. This will be his legacy to mankind.” Two of the past recipients of this award are, the President of the Taino Nation, Robert Mukaro and the President of the Cherokee Indian Nation, Bill Baker. These are two of many great men and women recipients. To see unity and diversity celebrated at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library is a great day for the world. President Ford was a man that believed in unity and diversity so it is not by chance that we are at this Presidential Museum presenting these honors to our great global leaders.

COMMUNITY WORK DAY – THE NEW MODEL FOR NATION BUILDING

The President of Republic of Burundi Africa is establishing community workdays in Burundi. This day consists of every Burundian working together for two hours a week to build their communities. This model has been going for several years and the government of this country has seen a unity building between the Hutu and the Tutsi tribes that have experienced long standing ethnic division for years.

Ambassador Clyde Rivers says, “It is a beautiful day when you see people working together to build their nation in peace ad harmony. This Community Works Day is the new model for national develop and was created by President Pierre Nkurunziza.

Professor Albert Nasasagare, the Founder of Youth in Action Coalition, kicked off his national campaign in the county of Burundi Africa last week. There were four Youth in Action Coalition Training Centers opened, in four different Providences in the country of Burundi this month.

Any nation of the world that sees their youth taking initiative to create business in their nation will be a force in the economics of the world. What I appreciate the most about the young people of this country – they are taking responsibility for the leadership and the economic empowerment of their own nation. What a great day for the Republic of Burundi Africa!”

The major power of community in the Republic of Burundi Africa has united the Hutus and Tutsi tribes as a result of working side-by-side for years rebuilding their nation. 

Ambassador Clyde Rivers commented, “As Ambassador at Large for the Republic of Burundi, I can tell you first hand that there is a unity in our nation due to the efforts of the people of this nation. The power of the transformation in Burundi has not taken place because of politics. It has taken place because of love. Politics can never heal a broken heart. It’s the love of God. You can never change a nation until you heal the broken heart of the people. In the Republic of Burundi Africa, the hearts of the people are now being healed. This great nation is on the way to the top. If you want to see a model of transformation, model yourself after the Republic of Burundi Africa. Only love can change us.”

AMBASSADOR MUSSIE HAILU RECEIVES iCHANGE NATIONS PERSON OF THE YEAR AWARD

Ambassador Mussie Hailu, one of the world’s top philanthropists, is the first recipient of the iChange Nations Person of the Year Award. The award was presented by Professor Clyde River, President of iChange Nations, at the Gerald R. Ford Library and Museum during the Golden Rule Award ceremony.

The mission of iChange Nations™ is to bring back the lost art of honor by building a culture that recognizes individuals throughout the world, those who have accomplished extraordinary humanitarian efforts to effectively change nations. iChange Nations™, with its collaborative partners, have implemented an International Honorary Award infrastructure. This infrastructure empowers and equips our citizens and alumni members with the tools needed to effectively pursue and transform the world.

Professor Rivers commented, “I have watched the work of Ambassador Hailu as one of the worlds top peace activists for several years. He is responsible for bringing unity and peace to several nations of the world. He is the Founder of the peace organization Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative (IPI) that has worked actively since 2003 to promote an interfaith culture of peace. Ambassador Hailu established the Golden Rule International Award, as well as, the initiative of the Golden Rule International Award Day. We have now reached over 130 nations of the world with the message of the Golden Rule –  ‘treat others as you want to be treated’. ”
