TRINIDAD SETTING THE STAGE FOR WOMEN OF GOLDEN RULE DIALOGUE

Alicia Kipps-Rudder Founder
City Women's Dialogue - Trinidad

CITY WOMEN’S DIALOGUE (CWD) was birthed in November 2017 upon the immediate return of its founder, Alicia Kipps-Rudder, from the iChange Nations™ launch of its Women of Golden Rule Dialogue™ (WGRD) held in Grand Rapids Michigan USA.  She was challenged by ICN’s founder Dr. Clyde Rivers and Dr. Donella Pitzl – ICN’s Global Director, to return to Trinidad an initiate a program that would encourage women to dialogue within the frame work of their chosen narrative.  CWD’s narrative is the Human Equity Value Concept which states that every human being has intrinsic value and we must recognize, consider and protect that human value and the equity to which that human being is entitled.

Dr. Kipps-Rudder began with the women of her local assembly.  It was imperative that a safe place be created for them to feel comfortable to dialogue at any time and on any of the myriad of issues that concern them as women. Hence the CWD ROUND TABLE (a private group operated via social media platforms) was started. This allows for ongoing 24/7 dialogue. However physical meetings take place at least once monthly.   Every CWD Dialoguer has the right and privilege to dialogue at the Round Table; they are encouraged and empowered to raise their voices, guided by the Golden Rule, “Treat others as you would like to be treated.”  From these dialogues the women themselves put forth solutions to the very issues raised.   These solutions are shared in the form of Wisdom Quotes to our City Women’s Dialogue Facebook Page, which has followers from several countries including, USA, Grenada, Suriname, Antigua, UK and South Africa. CWD firmly believes that through the process of dialogue, we all learn, grow, build and add value to ourselves, our community and our world.

In January CWD gained national attention when it was featured in the Trinidad Guardian Newspaper after hosting a public Human Trafficking Awareness Symposium.  On the occasion of International Women’s Day, CWD launched a second group to accommodate the many requests from women asking to join in the dialogue. “THE FORUM” as its name suggests is a public and open group facilitating a growing community of dialoguers.
Recently Dr. Kipps-Rudder presented the CWD model of dialogue at the Women who Lead Conference hosted by Dr. Vicki Harris, the Sr. Vice President of Our Daily Bread Ministries, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Herself a recipient of the prestigious ICN Women of Global Solutions Award.  The women of City Women’s Dialogue are soon to begin production on a television show.  This will no doubt fuel the formidable movement that is Women of Golden Rule Dialogue™.

In Newport, Oregon March 3, 2018 iChange Nations™ launched the first of its kind, the Global Golden Rule Business Initiative. Honoring local community businesses for their Golden Rule ethics in business. Recognizing local businesses for their great business ethics is at the forefront of a movement ICN is initiating to bring the culture of honor to communities around the world.

iChange Nations™ believes that honoring, where honor is due, changes the atmosphere of communities, regions and nations. Newport will become a template to give all small communities a model of how honor changes a community. Showing that honor inspires others to accomplish a greater level of integrity and service to their community. This in turn betters the life of the community and it’s residents.

Among the business honored in this first Golden Rule Business Honor Event were businesses in the construction trades, restaurants, storage, health and vitamins, an Asian Market, hotel, CPA, Dental Care and more. Showing that all communities have a plethora of businesses that contribute to the life of a community and that many work hard and need recognition for their contribution to their communities. ICN knows that by honoring businesses that are exemplifying Golden Rule Ethics, they are taking their place in a global responsibility. The local is now global and does affect the world around us. Dr. Rivers plans on seeing this template reach the world, propagating the Golden Rule Culture of Honor in businesses that originated out of Lincoln County, Oregon. The Local businessmen Mike Dean, John Robinson, Mike Pitzl and Scot Waggnor were the initiators of this movement with ICN out of Lincoln County.

Dr. Clyde Rivers is the Founder and President of IChange Nations™ a professional institution that is establishing cultures of honor globally, earning iChange Nations™ the title of the “Largest Network Establishing Cultures of Honor in the World.” iChange Nations™ honor systems are in over 120 nations. http://ichangenations.org/
