DR. CAROLYN LUKENSMEYER WINS WORLD CIVILITY DAY NATIONAL AWARD

The third annual World Civility Day was held in Gary Indiana April 12, 2018. Among the prestigious guests and keynote speaker was Dr. Carolyn Lukensmeyer. Dr. Lukensmeyer is the Executive Director of the National Institute for Civil Discourse, an organization that works to reduce political dysfunction and incivility in the political systems of the United States. Because of her great work to establish civil discourse, the Board of Community Civility Counts Initiative and World Civility Day, including Dr. Gordon Bradshaw, Dr. Chuck Hughes Founders of Community Civility Counts Initiative and Dr. Clyde Rivers, Spokesperson for World Civility Day, unanimously agreed to award Dr. Lukensmeyer with the prestigious “World Civility Day - Community Civility Counts Initiative “National Award.” Dr. Lukensmeyer is a true champion for civil discourse in the United States. Dr. Rivers, said in an interview, “Dr. Lukensmeyer is truly a top standard-bearer for civil discourse in the United States. The institute she represents has created initiatives to institute civility back into our nation. We applaud their great work.”

Additionally, in attendance were several different nations. Leading humanitarians and people of civility, honored with prestigious iChange Nations™ World Civility Ambassador Awards. We are witnessing great international results coming out of World Civility Day and the Community Civility Counts Initiative and the presentation of the World Civility Ambassador Award and other prestigious awards. These awards are reaching platforms of the world as we find great people of civility to honor.
